Pharmaceutical Take Back Event
Name: Pharmaceutical Take Back EventDate: April 30, 2011Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM CDTEvent Description:City of Superior is participating in National Pharmaceutical Take-back Event.
The City of Superior Environmental Services Division of Public Works and the Police Department are pleased to announce an unwanted medicine and pharmaceutical collection event on Saturday, April 30th. This national event, sponsored by the US Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), will be held at the Superior/Douglas County Government Center parking lot loop (Hammond Ave. and N. 14th Street) on April 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Directional signs will be posted. In the event of inclement weather the collection point will be moved just inside the atrium entrance between the jail and government center.
Citizens can bring in all of their old, unused, unwanted prescription drugs to be safely disposed of at this collection event.
We need your help to remove these unwanted prescription drugs from area medicine cabinets. Too frequently these unused drugs become a major source of abuse, and have resulted in accidental poisoning of youth and senior citizens. Additionally, if not disposed of properly these drugs can lead to pollution of our water supplies and our beautiful Lake Superior.Location:Hammond Ave. and N. 14th Street, Superior, WI 54880Set a Reminder:
