    Name: Prescription Drug Disposal Clinic
    Date: April 26, 2014
    Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:
On April 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Superior Police Department (SPD) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its eighth opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to the SPD parking lot at 1316 N. 14th Street. Citizens may dispose of solid (pill) medication by removing it from its container and disposing of it directly into the box provided at the collection site. Blister packages will be accepted without the medications being removed. Liquid medications will be accepted but must remain in the original packaging. Inhalers and needles WILL NOT be accepted. Law Enforcement will not handle any pills or bottles so the person bringing the medications to the disposal site must dump them in the collection box provided. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
