Ribbon Cutting - Douglas County Historical Society ~ ''Barry Exhibit''

The Chamber Ambassadors will hold a ribbon cutting at 5pm on July 24th, 2014. The ribbon cutting will be kicking off the open house event for the Douglas County Histoical Society's new exhibit featuring photography from famous photographer David Barry!

This event is open to the public!

David Barry was a famous frontier and pioneer photographer who helped preserve the pictorial history of the old West with photos of The Custers, military officers and enlisted men, military forts, the little Bighorn Battlefield in Montana, and also Buffalo Bill Cody with his Wild West shows. Without his camera images, much of the photographic record of the people, places and events of the past would be lost to us today.
