    Event Description:

The Friends of the Lake Superior Reserve will hold our first Spring Bird Walk at Wisconsin Point. The walk will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 7:30am. We are pleased to have Jeff Davis join us to lead the walk. Jeff is the president of President of the Duluth Audubon Society. We are hoping to see spring migrating species, especially warblers. Anyone is welcome to join us. No experience is necessary.

This event celebrates the City of Superior's designation as a Wisconsin Bird City, and the annual World Migratory Bird Day.

We will meet at Lot 4 on Wisconsin Point. After introductions and a brief overview of the walk, we will explore the beach as well as forest habitats. If time permits, we may then take our personal vehicles to explore the Superior Entry area. The walk is planned to last about 2 hours.

Please dress for the weather and wear good shoes for walking in the woods and on the beach. A pair of binoculars will be helpful. We encourage all to take appropriate cautions related to COVID-19.

Following is a map of the meeting location. If you have questions, please contact Mike Koutnik at contact.folsr@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you on June 1.
