Name: Superstion Flashlight Tours of Fairlawn
    Date: October 26, 2009 - October 29, 2009
    Event Description:

Superior Public Museums invites you to join them for their popluar Fall Flashlight Tours at Fairlawn.  Victorian life was rich with folklore, superstition and a world of new discoveries.

Let darkly clad tour guides lead you through the unlit halls of Fairlawn as you explore the world of Victorian superstion and curious traditions that were common practice in the late 1800s.  Many of those traditions are still alive today in some form with some of the things we say and do.  In the back of your mind do you think twice before you open and umbrella in the house?  If you spill some salt, do you throw a pinch over your shoulder?  Many of these peculiar traditions were faithfully practiced just as someone today might take asprin every morning to "ward off" a heart attack.

Bring your friends and your flashlight as the darkened halls of Fairlawn set the stage for an entertaining evening of history and mystery.

Flashlight Tours are BYOF (bring your own flashlight).

    Adults $8

    Students and seniors $6.50

Tours will leave every 1/2 hour and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

We hope you'll join us for an evening of unique entertainment.
