    • Share:
Name: Support Communities Program - Celebrate Recovery
    Date: August 6, 2021
    Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:

The Support to Communities Program is meant to assist workers who are or have been affected by opioid misuse or other substance disorder either personally or through family and friends. The program is also meant to assist workers who seek to transition to professions that support individuals with a substance use disorder or occupations that address the opioid recovery efforts in the local service area.  This includes individuals who need new or upgraded skills to better serve struggling or at-risk individuals. The program works to serve dislocated workers, new entrants to the workforce, individuals with barriers to employment, and incumbent workers.

Participants are not required to disclose whether they have a history of drug addiction or know someone with a history of opioid use. All disclosures are voluntary.  If a participant does not disclose whether he or she or a friend or family member has a history of opioid misuse or other substance use disorder, the participant will be served as a worker who seeks to transition to a profession that supports individuals with substance abuse disorders.
