The jet set is lighting up with lucky Strike cigarettes, the Cadillac Coupe Deville is the ''it'' car for men of success, Barbie is shaping the ideal women's figure, Valium has been approved by the FDA, and the MAD Men of advertising are selling it all as the American Dream.
Meanwhile, bored housewives are washing down their little pills with tumblers of vodka and dreaming of their own seat at the boardroom table. They don't yet realize that they are entering a valley of dolls.
A thousand miles from Madison Avenue, in the quiet city of Superior a brutal murderer has taken the life of Phyllis (Pykola) Hoff, wealthy patroness of the Superior Women's Center for Business Advancement and Development. Was it her jilted fiancé' of 30 years past', her tall dark and foreign husband, or one of the Bad Gals on her Board of Directors?
