University Theatre presents ''The Underpants''

Join UW-Superior University Theatre for some laugh-out-loud-funny entertainment as "The Underpants" takes the stage!

What would you do if your underpants fell down in front of the whole town?!

Come along for this comedy ride as we bring you back to Dusseldorf, Germany in 1910. A very public wardrobe malfunction becomes the talk of the town in Steve Martin's ribald take on this uproarious farce.  Chock-full of sexual innuendo and verbal jousting, "The Underpants" sets-up the absurdity of instant fame when a young woman's underpants fall down in front of the whole town. Das ist funny!

The Carl Sternheim play is adaptation by Steve Martin and this production does contain adult content.

The director of the production is Cathy A. Fank, a UW-Superior professor who coordinates a cast of seven.

Location: Performances take place in the Experimental Theatre, located at 1805 Catlin Ave., in the Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center.

Tickets: $12 for adults; $10 for seniors and non-UW-Superior students; $2 for UW-Superior students; $6 group rate for 10 or more; and $6 for youth 12 and under.  Tickets may be purchased at the box office in Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center. Performances will be Nov. 13-22.  Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13 and 14 and Nov. 20 and 21.  The matinee performances start at 2 p.m. on Nov.15 and Nov. 22.
