Public is invited to a 1943 USO Canteen variety show. The USO show will be set up as a 1943 radio broadcast with news veteran, Lew Martin as well as comedians, singers, and dancers. Randy Lee and his Big Band will provide swing music from the '40s. The hall in DCHS will be decorated to look like a USO Hollywood CAnteen, serving free sandwiches, donuts and coffee will be provided just as the USO Canteens did during WWII. KUWS Radio 91.3 will record and broadcast it on Monday, Dec. 8th. Exhibit displays of "Toys through the Ages" in our 1940 livingroom. This will be our Kick-off for the Palace Theatre Mural which will be painted on the exterior of the society's building the Summer of 2009. Cost $10.00 and Men and Women serving in the armed services who attend in uniform are at no charge.
