Join students from the University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will feature solos and duets from opera, operetta, and musical theatre on Tuesday, November 23, at 7:30 pm at Thorpe Langley Auditorium.
An evening of fully-staged scenes with piano accompaniment, there will be pieces from Verdi's "Falstaff,' Humperdinck's 'Hansel & Gretel,' 'Beauty & The Beast,' by Menken and Rice, 'Jekyll & Hyde,' by Wildhorn and Bricusse, Mozart's 'The Magic Flute' and scenes from Gilbert and Sullivan operettas.
Utilizing safety measures, such as ample distance from the audience and plexiglass partitions, the singer-actors will not be masked to allow for the full visual dramatic communication of facial expressions inherent in theatrical performances
