Between the hours of 9:00am – 4:00pm on January 24th, Jacket Java restaurant at the University of Wisconsin-Superior will be celebrating their Grand Opening of their newly certified 2 Star Green Restaurant. This is an exciting event for UWS as it is the 5th Certified Green Restaurant in the state of Wisconsin. A’viands Food and Services Management Company, based out of St. Paul, MN, is the food service provider at UWS and has partnered with UWS to make this happen (more information about A’viands can be found at
www.aviands.com). This would be the first Certified Green Restaurant within A’viands’ portfolio, with only one other Certified Green Restaurant in the State of Minnesota.
We would love to highlight this event within the Superior community and extend an offer to stop by and check out the casual celebration of the newly certified Jacket Java. Throughout the day, the local coffee representative of Peace Coffee with be sampling their product, a representative from Bix produce will be present handing out fruit, we will have prize drawings and more.
