Wednesday Night at the Races has become a summer tradition for hundreds of families throughout the Northland. This youth race series is held on five consecutive Wednesday evenings in July and August, and draws an average of over 400 children per night.
Registration: from 5:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. each evening of the series.
These races are FREE.
Start Time: start promptly at 6:00 p.m. beginning with the youngest age group and ending with the oldest children.
Age groups and distances:
4 & under – 1/8 mile
5 & 6 years old – 1/8 mile
7 & 8 years old – 1/4 mile
9 & 10 years old – 1/4 mile
11 & 12 years old – 1/2 mile
13 & 14 years old – 1/2 mile
*Adaptive athlete opportunities are available at all locations. Please check in with a race official when you arrive.
Everyone’s a champion at this event! Each week children will receive a ribbon upon completion of their race.
