Superior Water, Light and Power (SWL&P), an ALLETE company, provides electricity, water, and natural gas to customers in Superior, Wisconsin, and adjacent areas. RESPONSIBILITIES::
- Takes responsibility for a portfolio of utility infrastructure projects - encompassing our electric, gas, solar, and water services.
- Provides project management leadership to internal groups and external contractors under close-to-moderate supervision.
- Develops and coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply management, construction and professional services contracts, progress reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Establishes and maintains positive and productive working relationships with multiple stakeholders, from employees to contractors to customers.
- Ensures project results meet technical quality and reliability requirements; stay on schedule, and within budget.
- Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE::
- Bachelor’s degree required AND two years or more of experience in project management, project development, engineering, construction, and/or a related field required,
OR
- Associate degree required AND four years or more of experience in project management, project development, engineering, construction, and/or a related field required.
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), or other relevant Project Management Institute (PMI) certification program preferred.
- Electric utility, infrastructure, or industrial fields experience preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel is occasionally required within Superior Water, Light & Power service territory in Northwest Wisconsin.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Analytical, investigation, problem-solving and decision making skills needed.
- This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- The expected annual compensation range for this position is $67,000 - $84,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
