    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DTA and St. Louis County to Partner on Pop-Up Vaccination Site at Duluth Transportation Center

St. Louis County and The Duluth Transit Authority are announcing a joint vaccination effort to provide access and equity to Twin Ports community members.  The event will be held Tuesday, May 4th, and Wednesday May 5th at the Duluth Transportation Center (DTC).  From 1:00pm-5:00pm on both days, Public Health Nurses from St. Louis County will be present in the DTC lobby to answer any questions the public may have about COVID-19 or the vaccine.  They will also have vaccine doses ready for anyone who would like to be vaccinate free of charge (no appointment is needed - there will be no need for insurance, and all information provided to medical professionals is confidential).  The Duluth Transportation Center is located at 228 West Michigan Street.

Free fares on DTA buses and via STRIDE Paratransit are available to and from the vaccination site.  Additionally, free parking will be available during the event at the Duluth Transportation Center ramp adjacent to the facility.  Duluth Transit Authority General Manager Rod Fournier said “We wanted to provide the public with a great vaccination option in the heart of downtown.  This Partnership with St. Louis County allows us to provide easy and equitable access to all.”
