    DTA Boarding Policy Update

     Effective Sunday, March 22nd

Duluth Transit Authority Buses will shift to a “Rear Door Only” boarding policy.  The move will be effective until further notice. Those with mobility impairment or mobility devices (wheel chairs etc.) will still have access to the ramp at the front of the buses.  General Manager Phil Pumphrey noted that “The DTA has made several significant changes to our system in response to this community health challenge – this latest approach put’s a focus on limiting our potential driver exposure to Covid-19 (coronavirus.)”  Pumphrey added, “We are putting the emphasis here on the health of our drivers, and to ensure we can continue to provide the transportation the community needs.”

The DTA has an “Emergency Alerts” tab on their homepage (DuluthTransit.com), to connect riders with important updates as they develop.
