Duluth Airport Authority Receives $10.4 Million Federal Grant for Infrastructure Improvements
Duluth, MN – September 12, 2024 – The Duluth Airport Authority (DAA) is excited to announce the receipt of a substantial federal grant totaling $10,403,898, awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to support critical upgrades and improvements to infrastructure at Duluth International Airport (DLH).
The grant which reflects the federal government’s commitment to enhancing aviation safety and efficiency, is allocated as follows:
- Snow Removal Equipment and Runway Visual Aid Replacement:
$925,718
- Taxiway A – Phase 5 Construction and Taxiway A – Phase 6 Design:
$9,478,180
This federal funding accounts for 90% of the total project costs, with an additional 5% investment from MnDOT, and a 5% local commitment. This grant will allow the DAA to address key areas of the airport’s infrastructure.
