Duluth Transit Authority to Provide Free Masks Starting June 18th
Wednesday, June 17th 2020, Due to an extra supply of masks, the Duluth Transit Authority is set to provide over 1000 to customers and the public. Beginning Thursday, June 18th, masks will be available free of charge at our Downtown Duluth Transit Center (DTC) information booth during staffed hours. The DTA encourages everyone to wear masks or other face coverings while riding and in facilities to protect fellow passengers and drivers. DTA Director of Marketing David Clark said, “We saw the extra supply on hand and knew that this was a great opportunity to promote community health and safety.” A mask is available to anyone who requests one while supplies last.
DTA buses remain free of charge until further notice. Passenger boarding is through the rear doors, and riders are still encouraged to limit travel to essential trips. More information on the DTA covid-19 response is available at DuluthTransit.com.
