    November 21, 2018
The Holiday Sampler, hosted by Superior Public Museums, is an annual holiday wine tasting event at Fairlawn Mansion in Superior, Wisconsin. This year it will be held on December 6th from 5-8pm.
The event usually draws about 150 people and has sold out the last several years. If anyone wants to attend the Holiday Sampler event, tickets are $30 each (or 4 for $110) in advance, or $30 at the door. For more information please see the website at superiopublicmuseums.org.
We are looking for artists who are willing to display up to three pieces of work.
The artist will be responsible for making sure the work is “display ready” and in good condition, and for determining the retail price. The work will be on consignment during the event. Superior Public Museums will handle the sale of any items sold and take care of the sales tax. If an item sells, the artist will receive 80% of the pre-tax sales price and Superior Public Museums will receive 20% of the pre-tax sales price. Artists should price pieces accordingly.
Artists must also provide their contact information (name, address, phone number) and a list of items submitted.
Superior Public Museums will be responsible for any loss or damage that is caused by us. The artist will be responsible for any loss or damage caused by the item itself (for example, if a wire is not attached properly). If a piece is lost or damaged by us, Superior Public Museums will pay the artist 60% of the retail price.
Artwork may be dropped off at Fairlawn starting Monday, November 19, 2018, and unsold work must be picked up by Monday, January 7, 2019. Fairlawn’s Carriage House Gift Shop, located at 906 E. 2nd St., Superior, Wisconsin, is open from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. If any artwork is not picked up by January 7, 2019, and no arrangements have been made to pick the artwork up at a later date, we will consider it a donation to Superior Public Museums.
