Free Landfill Days for City of Superior Residents
Free Landfill Days have been scheduled for City of Superior residents on two Saturdays in October (October 20th & 27th from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.). Now is the time to think about freeing up space in the house and garage before the colder months arrive! Not all items can be disposed of in the landfill, so please check the City's landfill web page or give the landfill staff a call with any questions. As always, please consider donating usable items before disposing of them in the landfill.

FREE LANDFILL DAYS
Saturday, October 20, 2018 & Saturday, October 27, 2018
8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
For Superior residents only. Landfill located on Moccasin Mike Road 1.5 miles east of Hwy 53.
Items Accepted:
• Household Trash: FREE (Regular fee: $10.00 minimum, $54.00/ton)
• Brush: FREE (Regular fee: $8.00/pickup, $16.00/pickup + trailer)
• Tires: 4 FREE per residence, 18” or smaller (Regular fees: $5.00/off rim, $6.00/on rim)
• Grass clippings and leaves: FREE year-round
• Mattresses and box springs: REGULAR FEES apply – KEEP THEM DRY! $15.00 each if completely dry and fairly clean $18.00 each if damp, wet or heavily soiled
Items NOT Accepted at the Landfill:
• Recyclables
• Demolition/construction materials
• Electronics
• Appliances
• Batteries
• Fluorescent bulbs
• Motor oil
• Household hazardous waste
Options for disposal or recycling of items not accepted at the landfill are available online at www.ci.superior.wi.us/landfill or call 715-398-7222.
Please Note:
• City of Superior residents only. Proof of residency required
• Individual households only. No contractors, landlords, or business owners.
• All loads must be covered during transport to avoid littering and a fine.
• All loose items must be tied or bagged.
• Regular landfill fees will be charged during regular landfill hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 3:40 p.m. and Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Remember the REUSE Center
• No charge for items dropped off or picked up.
• Items dropped off must be in decent repair and of use to someone else.
• All items dropped off must be checked by landfill staff.
