Rusty Steitz, PE, named vice president of the Facilities Engineering Division.

From the very beginning, Rusty Steitz enjoyed learning how things worked. As a young boy, he took apart his parents’ brand-new VCR — not very long after they took it out of the box — just to see how such a thing was put together. He reassembled it, and it still works.

Fast-forward to today: the mechanical engineer enjoys solving problems for our clients and helping them reach their project goals.

As the new vice president of TKDA’s facilities engineering division, he will rely on his technical expertise and commitment to client services to lead our growing team.

Rusty has designed, scheduled, managed, and overseen energy, heavy industrial, and manufacturing project mechanical systems for more than 20 years. He joined TKDA in 2011 and has previously served as the corporate and industrial market manager and the mechanical group manager in Facilities Engineering.

“Rusty’s breadth of experience makes him a great choice to fill this role,” said Tom Stoneburner, TKDA president and CEO. “He is a well-respected engineer, and we are very happy to have him step up into this key leadership role in our firm.”

Rusty earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
