United Airlines Adds Additional Frequency at Duluth International Airport, Reinforcing Commitment to the Region

Duluth, MN - March 16, 2026 – The Duluth Airport Authority (DAA) is pleased to announce that United Airlines will be adding a fifth daily flight to its schedule between the Duluth International Airport (DLH) and Chicago’s O’Hare Airport (ORD). The increased service underscores the airline’s continued commitment to providing reliable air travel options for the Northland and supporting the region’s growing demand for connectivity.

This fifth daily frequency will provide travelers with greater flexibility and improved access to United’s global network, making it easier for residents, businesses, and visitors to connect to destinations across the United States and around the world.

“The additional capacity provided by this added frequency from United Airlines is a strong vote of confidence in our market and the passengers who rely on Duluth International Airport,” said Tom Werner, Executive Director of the Duluth Airport Authority. “It gives our travelers an additional early morning departure from DLH that allows for single day business trips to Chicago as well as expanded access to a wide variety of domestic and international itineraries.”

Continued growth in air service is dependent on community support. When travelers choose to fly from their local airport, it demonstrates demand and helps airlines justify maintaining or expanding service.

“Airlines make decisions based on passenger demand,” Werner added. “If we want to continue seeing more flights and better connectivity, it’s important for travelers in our region to book flights from DLH whenever possible.”

The DAA encourages residents and businesses to take advantage of the additional United Airlines service and continue supporting DLH.
