  • UW-Superior’s Marcovich Wellness Center re-opens to public with summer membership sale

    The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Marcovich Wellness Center has re-opened to the community. The facility is marking the occasion with a 10-percent off sale on all summer memberships.
    Built in 2003, the 115,000-square-foot Marcovich Wellness Center includes a field house with indoor track capable of hosting NCAA meets. The facility also contains fitness and weight rooms equipped with broadcast vision as well as an indoor climbing wall, the Joan Hedrick Swimming Pool, four racquetball courts, an aerobics/dance studio, locker rooms, classrooms and meeting rooms.
    Within the Marcovich Wellness Center, the Lydia C. Thering Fieldhouse features rubberized floors, a 200-meter track, four tennis courts, four basketball and volleyball courts, and two batting cages. The Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium has an additional three basketball and volleyball courts and eight badminton courts on a hardwood floor.
