    April 28, 2020
The University of Wisconsin-Superior Summer Theatre Camp for students ages 11 to 18 will move to an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the online format, participants will produce a radio-theatre style production of a mystery comedy based on the classic board game “Clue.” Students will play the parts and produce all the sound effects. Participants will be coached through the complete theatre production like an on-site rehearsal with costumes, virtual sets and props.
“Our Summer Theatre Camp provides the most comprehensive camp experience for young theatre enthusiasts,” said Cathy A. Fank, professor of theatre at UW-Superior. “The program features a range of classes and workshops taught by university faculty, local professionals and current UW-Superior theatre students.”
The program will run June 15 to 26, Monday through Friday afternoons. Camp will conclude with a virtual performance on the night of June 26.
Registration is $100. With most classes taking place via Zoom, participants will need access to high-speed internet and an internet-capable device. For more information and an application, please email Cathy A. Fank at cfank@uwsuper.edu.
