UW-Superior to host Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium Fall 2019
Twenty University of Wisconsin-Superior students who have completed research or creative projects will present their work at the Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium, Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 3 to 5 p.m. in Swenson Hall.
Project topics range from women’s experience in fiction to how the criminal justice system is treating individuals struggling with additions, big-box retail and its impacts on Superior, microplastic pollution in Newton Creek and the St. Louis River Estuary, non-profit vs. for-profit hospitals, and Superior Amateur Hockey Association and the local economy.
Oral sessions will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. in Erlenbach Lecture Hall, with poster presentations from 4 to 5 p.m. in the first-floor atrium.
The Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium is free and open to the community. Free parking is available in lots 2 and 11. Swenson Hall is located at 1610 Weeks Ave. in Superior.
