UW-Superior TRIO McNair Scholars to hold virtual research symposium
The University of Wisconsin-Superior will hold its TRIO McNair Scholars Research Symposium virtually from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17. This event is open to public online viewing.
Fourteen TRIO McNair Scholars will present research via a live Zoom question-and-answer session on topics that range from “Tobacco Cessation Programs and Tobacco Related Comorbidities on the Red Cliff Reservation” to “The Well-Being of People During the COVID-19 outbreak.”
“Our scholars have completed substantial research studies this spring and summer, despite unprecedented barriers brought on by COVID-19,” said Monte Stewart, McNair Scholars director. “We are incredibly proud of the work our scholars have accomplished and are excited for the extended reach our new symposium format can have in pulling in attendees from across the country.”
Additional information about all research projects is available at uwsuper.edu/mcnair/research. The site will also include a link to the symposium beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17.
