The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will present Stas Venglevski, accordion; Derek Bromme, tuba; and Brett Jones, percussion; for its University Recital Series on Tuesday, January 25, at 7:30 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium.
The concert will feature the world premiere of “Footprints” by Mayako Kubo for accordion dedicated to Venglevski and “Witch of November” by Ian Deterling, music technology and world music instructor at UW-Superior, for tuba and marimba commissioned by Bromme.
Also included will be music by J.S. Bach, William Susman, Astor Piazzolla, Nikita Mndoyanz and Venglevski.
