WITC-Superior to host nearly 500 high school students for Career Day
(11/6/2019) It’s going to be a packed house when Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in Superior hosts its Career Day for area high school students Thursday, November 7, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Career Day is a chance for students to get an inside look into the many career opportunities available at WITC and experience our state-of-the-art labs. Students will meet instructors, participate in hands-on learning activities, explore the campus, enjoy a free lunch and more! Over 450 students are registered to attend from schools across Northwestern Wisconsin and Northeastern Minnesota including: Superior, Wrenshall, Two Harbors, South Ridge, Solon Springs, Northwestern, Moose Lake, Harbor City, Duluth East, Denfeld, Cloquet and Barnum.
Each student will participate in two 40-minute hands-on career sessions of their choice including:- Automotive Service Technician
- Business Division
- Broadband Technologies
- Cosmetology
- Criminal Justice Studies
- Early Childhood Education
- EMT/Paramedic
- Gerontology-Aging Services Professional
- HVAC/R
- Human Services Associate
- Industrial Maintenance Technician
- IT-Cybersecurity Specialist
- Machine Tool Operation
- Medical Assistant
- Nursing - RN
- Nursing Assistant
- Welding
