Your Superior Bookstore, Foxes & Fireflies Booksellers, is Launching A Fox Hunt Event for September

Your Superior bookstore, Foxes & Fireflies Booksellers, is launching a new event for the month of September: A Fox Hunt.


The Fox Hunt is aimed at getting people to explore Superior businesses. More importantly, it will encourage them to step inside to see everything each business has to offer. It’s similar to the Where’s Waldo scavenger hunt that is held in West Duluth every August. We’ve tailored it to encompass all of Superior and added a bunch of cute foxes!

Our Foxes & Fireflies team will do all the work. You can be as involved, or as hands off, as you choose.

Each business participant will receive a laminated fox poster with a number to hide in their store for the month of September. We’ll also supply a laminated poster for the front window to designate the business as a Fox Hunt location.

Customers can pick up entry forms from the bookstore or the Superior-Douglas County Area Chamber of Commerce. Their quest is to track the foxes they find, pairing the correct number with the store it’s found in. Once they find a set number of foxes, they can turn the entry form in to enter the prize drawing, which will be held Oct. 1.

Entry forms can be turned in at the bookstore, the Superior Business Improvement District or the Superior-Douglas County Area Chamber of Commerce.

Participating businesses can opt to hand out entry forms and/or be drop-off sites for completed forms, if they choose.

Businesses can also join in the fun by offering a discount to those who purchase something and find the fox, or some other promotion. Everyone is welcome to use the hunt as a springboard.

Foxes & Fireflies staff will collect the posters and completed entry forms by Sept. 30.

The drawing for prizes will be Oct. 1.

Prizes will include Superior BID Bucks, local gift certificates from the Superior-Douglas County Area Chamber of Commerce, bookstore swag and more.
