On behalf of Kim Wolff, Chair of the Fair Housing Task Force, a Committee of the Lake Superior
Area REALTORS®, Inc. (LSAR), we would like to invite you to a Racism in Real Estate course
on Wednesday, March 10 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The current climate of social unrest has shone a light on the impact structural racism continues
to have throughout our country. As an industry, REALTORS® are determined to be at the
forefront of creating open dialogue surrounding racism, in particular as it relates to the real
estate industry. LSAR formed a Fair Housing Task Force in 2020 to explore local efforts where
we can contribute to education, create conversation and learn from our community on this
important matter as well increasing diversity, equality and inclusion in our industry.
To further this goal, LSAR has partnered with Rethos, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to sponsor the
“Racism in Real Estate” course. This course “explores structural racism and the racial wealth
gap as it applies to housing.” Given the importance of this topic, the participation of municipal
leaders and officials along with our members would significantly benefit our ongoing
conversation and impact of this education by bringing diverse perspectives to our discussion
on how racism in real estate occurs.
The course will be held via Zoom and space is limited. We anticipate this course reaching
capacity and have reserved three seats for your organization. Any reserved but unfilled seats
will be released on Sunday, February 7. Registration can be completed by following this link:

questions, please feel reach out to sara@LSARealtors.com or 218.728.5676. We look
forward to our community’s participation so that we move forward together in a way that
positively impacts our community and the real estate industry.
