    In honor of the 50th anniversary of the tragic sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, the Richard I Bong Veterans Historical Center will host a special evening program on Thursday November 13th featuring Great Lakes historian Ryan Mihalak and longtime Northland weatherman Dave Anderson.  Great Lakes historian Ryan Mihalak will recount the story of the ship’s final voyage. Veteran meteorologist Dave Anderson will provide expert commentary on the weather systems that converged to create one of the most powerful and destructive storms in Lake Superior’s history—conditions that doomed even the most seasoned sailors.
