DLH Taxiway A Phase 5 Reconstruction Set to Begin May 5
Duluth, MN – The Duluth Airport Authority (DAA) is moving forward with critical infrastructure upgrades as Phase 5 of the 9-phase Taxiway A reconstruction project is set to begin on May 5, 2025. This multi-phased reconstruction project is designed to enhance airfield efficiency and capacity for years to come.
“This phase marks significant progress in our multi-phase plan to reconstruct Taxiway A at DLH”. Said Tom Werner, Executive Director of the Duluth Airport Authority. “With each phase, we are enhancing the safety and efficiency of our airfield infrastructure. We are committed to completing this work with minimal impact to travelers and operations at DLH”.
As part of Phase 5, construction will require two scheduled closures to complete necessary pavement work. These closures include one 24-hour closure and one 60 hour closure. Commercial service flight operations will be coordinated around these closures, and no flight disruptions are expected at this time. The DAA is working closely with our airline partners to ensure schedules remain as planned and the traveling public is unaffected.
In support of the annual Air Show, construction will pause from July 3 to July 7, allowing full access to the airfield and ensuring a safe and successful event.
