Do you have a young reader in your life? Come to a free class at the library and learn how Dialogic Reading can help strengthen caregiver-child relationships while also improving a child's reading skills. Instructor Araceli Whitwam-Sell from UW-Extension will teach parents, caregivers, and individuals who work or spend time with kids how to use dialogic reading techniques. In dialogic reading, the adult helps the child become the ''teller'' of the story, while the adult becomes the ''listener,'' the questioner, and the child's audience. This interactive program will also include suggestions of book titles that are especially good for dialogic reading. No pre-registration is required.
