International Day of Peace Walk & Fundraiser is the Beautiful Strength Project’s first ever fundraising event.

The event will kick off with a proclamation recognizing the city of Superior as a city for peace that works for the safety, prosperity, and quality of life for all within our community. We are also working on “planting” a peace pole that is meant as a symbol representing the city’s efforts to promote peace, transformation of community and an inspiration for generations to come.

After the proclamation we will march as a group from Broadway Square to the Thirsty Pagan as a demonstration promoting peace in our community.

Once at Thirsty Pagan we welcome you to join in on our Pizza Fundraiser. All donations will help survivors in our own community!

Our friends at Thirsty Pagan have offered to host our fundraising event. You don't have to partake in the proclamation or walk to attend our pizza fundraiser!

Your ticket price of just $20 includes pizza, a beverage, and live music.

There will also be prize drawings for those who wish to enter!
    The Beautiful Strength Project

Who are we and what do we do?
The Beautiful Strength Project is a peer support group that uses a holistic approach to health and wellness education for survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Peer support in addition to other self-help options such as therapy and treatment has shown to increase quality of life, self-efficacy, sense of community, and supportive behaviors while the occurrence of relapse and homelessness decreased.

The group currently meets twice weekly both virtually for online discussion and in person for fitness classes. This unique approach to health and wellness education allows participants to create lasting bonds with other members as well as the peer leader, and helps them find their way to a happier, healthier life for themselves and their families. The primary goal of the BSP is to help end the cycle of violence for our participants and for future generations.
