Memorial Blood Centers Thanks Donors with Minnesota Lynx Tickets
June 14, 2017 (St. Paul, MN) – To celebrate World Blood Donor Day on June 14, Memorial Blood Centers is partnering with the Minnesota Lynx and offering blood donors two tickets to select upcoming Minnesota Lynx games.
World Blood Donor Day is an opportunity to thank blood donors for saving lives in their communities and raise awareness of the importance of donating blood. Blood donors who donated with Memorial Blood Centers in the past two years received an email inviting them to redeem two Minnesota Lynx tickets in appreciation of their support.
“Each year more than 60,000 volunteer blood donors roll up their sleeve to provide life-saving blood to patients in hospitals across Minnesota and western Wisconsin,” said Kathy Geist, Memorial Blood Centers Vice President of Donor Services. “It’s generous donors like these who help maintain a safe and stable blood supply for our hospitals.”
“We’re proud to partner with Memorial Blood Centers to help generate life-saving donations,” said Minnesota Lynx President Chris Wright. “The Minnesota Lynx are proud to support hospital patients in our area and give back to the local community.”
The need for blood is every day. Appointments to donate blood can be scheduled online at
mbcherohub.club, or by calling 1-888-GIVE-BLD (888-448-3253). All blood types are needed—especially type O.
