The Superior High School is reaching out to the business community to participate their Business Lunch Program.  They are expanding the program this year and the idea is to bring as many different business and industry representatives into the school over the course of the year.  This is not the 'career fair' that has students shuffling around the gym and requires hours of your time.  The plan schedules one business or industry representative at a time for about 90 minutes during the high school lunch.  During this time you have the potential to reach about 1,300 students at SHS.  Those students are free to engage in discussion if they are interested.  The business will be promoted prior to their scheduled day in daily announcements and with teachers.  New this year, they are hoping to be able to directly email students who have expressed an interest in your industry through the Career Cruising program and with the guidance department.

The purpose in creating this program was to help students see the number of jobs and careers that are available in Superior, that they can leave home to go to college or training, but they can come home to a career and life here in Superior.  Last year, the program was piloted in the spring and was well received.  The plan is to expand this year and fill as many Wednesdays of the school year as possible.  The goal is to have students see as many local options as possible.
