Starting Tuesday, April 27, the COVID-19 community-based vaccination clinic at the University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Siinto S. Wessman Arena will begin accepting walk-in appointments for anyone aged 16 and older.
This Douglas County Public Health vaccination clinic is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The site, which is being run by AMI Expeditionary Healthcare, will follow state guidelines. The Pfizer vaccination is being administered.
These community-based vaccination clinics are located throughout Wisconsin in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, UW System, AMI, and local health departments, vaccinators and governments.
For more information on available COVID-19 vaccination options, visit the Where can I get vaccinated? webpage. Information can also be found on the Douglas County Public Health website and at uwsuper.edu/vaccine.
UW-Superior, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and UW System, continues to host a free COVID-19 testing site for anyone 5 years of age and older in the Marcovich Wellness Center. Registration for a free test can be done at doineedacovid19test.com.
The COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Wessman Arena will not impact any UW-Superior student activities or sporting events. Spring commencement will be held in a virtual format.
