  • Wessman Arena COVID-19 community-based vaccination clinic now accepting walk-in appointments

    Starting Tuesday, April 27, the COVID-19 community-based vaccination clinic at the University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Siinto S. Wessman Arena will begin accepting walk-in appointments for anyone aged 16 and older.
     
    This Douglas County Public Health vaccination clinic is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The site, which is being run by AMI Expeditionary Healthcare, will follow state guidelines. The Pfizer vaccination is being administered.
     
    These community-based vaccination clinics are located throughout Wisconsin in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, UW System, AMI, and local health departments, vaccinators and governments.

    UW-Superior, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and UW System, continues to host a free COVID-19 testing site for anyone 5 years of age and older in the Marcovich Wellness Center. Registration for a free test can be done at doineedacovid19test.com.  
     
    The COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Wessman Arena will not impact any UW-Superior student activities or sporting events. Spring commencement will be held in a virtual format.
