WITC-Superior welcomes new Campus Administrator and VP of Academic Affairs, Dr. Stephanie Erdmann, C
After five and a half years as the WITC-Superior campus administrator and vice president of academic affairs, Dr. Bonny Ball Copenhaver accepted a position as the president of New River Community College in Beaver, West Virginia. The New River Community College has many similarities to WITC, such as four campuses and a variety of programs that award an associate of applied science.
One of Copenhaver’s chief accomplishments during her time as campus administrator was overseeing the renovations and modernization of the student spaces, program labs, classrooms and overall aesthetics to make the Campus more welcoming and contemporary. As she transitions to her new title and home, Dr. Copenhaver felt that the WITC community will be left in good hands.
“My career has truly been blessed by coming to this area and working at such a great institution. It is hard to leave a place that has welcomed this Southern girl who talked funny. I know that WITC will continue to thrive and be an economic and community development asset for this region.”
Taking over for Copenhaver as the new vice president of academic affairs and Superior campus administrator is Dr. Stephanie Erdmann. Erdmann was chosen as successor during an internal search and brings in 18 years of higher education experience. Erdmann first joined WITC in 2015 as a divisional dean of the business programs and worked most recently as the dean of academic programs at WITC-Rice Lake. Prior to WITC, Erdmann worked for the College of Menominee Nation in Kenesha, Wisconsin as faculty chair and dean in the Letters and Sciences division.
As she prepares for her new role, Erdmann is excited to continue to grow relationships within the community of Superior and within WITC.
“As the vice president of academic affairs and Superior Campus administrator, I will strive to advance the College’s mission to create dynamic opportunities for career preparation and personal effectiveness by fostering mutually beneficial K12 partnerships, develop new, unique programs and enhancing distance learning delivery methods,” said Erdmann. “In addition, my husband and I look forward to being a part of the Superior community and to exploring what the area has to offer.”
