How to craft a Press Release for your Organization

In business, there is always going to be something to celebrate.  A well-written press release can bring your business or organization some valuable media attention, and give you the opportunity to shape the story the way you want it to be written.

In this Chamber Education Series – Chamber Open Forum: How to Craft a Press Release we will bring in a panel of three local marketing experts to help.  We hope to help you learn the who, what, where, when, and why of crafting a press release for your organization or business.

Our panelists:

Jim Biros,  University Relations Specialist, University of Wisconsin Superior. Jim has nearly 14 years in media relations within higher education. Previously, he was a staff writer for the Superior Telegram.

Josh Lee, Public Relations and Marketing Associate, Northwood Technical College. Josh has worked in marketing and P.R. for three years with Northwood Tech. Prior to working in higher education, Josh worked as an evening producer for the KBJR 6 News at 5, 6, and 10 for four years

Nikky Farmakes, Director of Marketing, Superior Douglas County Area Chamber of Commerce. Nikky has over 9 years of marketing experience crafting press releases for businesses and events of all shapes and sizes.  She has previously worked as a reporter for Business North Magazine.
