UW-Superior Music Department to present Percussion Ensemble concert
The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will hold its Percussion Ensemble concert on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Thorpe Langley Auditorium.
The UW-Superior Percussion Ensemble will be joined by the Twin Ports folk and pop band, The Cuckoo Bees, for a pop meets classical collaboration with a percussive flavor.
The UW-Superior and The College of St. Scholastica Percussion Ensembles along with Dr. Jeremy Craycraft will perform “Fugue,” by William Russell, which is a combined work they have recently performed for an international audience in Indianapolis.
As a conclusion to the evening, the Duluth Superior Symphony Youth Orchestra Percussion Ensemble will team with the UW-Superior Percussion Ensemble for an Indian-inspired piece called “Warthog #3,” made famous by the Hand’s Ensemble.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and free for students. The Thorpe Langley Auditorium is located in Old Main at 1710 Weeks Ave., in Superior. For questions or additional information, call (715) 394-8115 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
