A fundraiser for the animals
SUPERIOR, Wisconsin – The Humane Society of Douglas County (HSDC) will be selling raffle tickets for a 2018 Textron Off-Road Wildcat all-terrain vehicle, sponsored in part by MAC Marine and Sport.
Sheila Keup, Executive Director of HSDC says, “We’re expecting this to be one of our larger fundraisers of the year. The money raised will go a long ways in helping over 1,000 animals find loving, permanent homes.”
HSDC provides shelter, medical care and adoption services to abandoned, lost and misplaced animals. We provide services for approximately 1,000 animals each year from the City of Superior and Douglas County. Every animal that is adopted from our facility is dewormed, vaccinated, and given immediate medical attention when necessary. All animals are vet checked, spayed or neutered, micro chipped, and temperament tested before being adopted.
HSDC is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that was founded in July of 1975 in Superior, Wisconsin. The purpose of this society is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the extension of humane education. We rely heavily on tax deductible donations, memberships, adoptions, and fundraisers to keep our doors open to the homeless animals of our area.
The drawing will be held Sunday, April 8, 1:00 p.m. at Dreamland Supper Club, 4368 County Rd. E, South Range, WI 54874.
