UW-Superior Campus Recreation hosting free NOvid-19 Virtual 50K Challenge
The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Campus Recreation is currently hosting the free NOvid-19 Virtual 50K Challenge.
“For the name of this event, I wanted something opposite of COVID-19 and how we are looking forward to the time when this virus is not affecting our daily lives,” said Jarod Meyer, Campus Recreation Intramurals and Camps Specialist at UW-Superior. “For people that participate in this program, I hope it’s a way to get active and not think about COVID-19 during that time.”
Open to all ages, this free virtual challenge can be completed from any location with any indoor or outdoor activity such as walking, running or biking. Participants record their distance in the official log, which is available online. After reaching 50K (31 miles), individuals email the log to Jarod Meyer at jmeyer49@uwsuper.edu. There is no deadline for completing the NOvid-19 Virtual 50K Challenge.
Throughout the challenge, participants can connect with UW-Superior Campus Recreation and other participants on Facebook by tagging photos @UW-Superior Campus Recreation.
