The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s fourth annual Superior Day of Giving, which took place April 4, raised more than $41,000 in support of the UW-Superior Foundation.
“The UW-Superior Foundation couldn’t be more grateful to the Yellowjacket community for its generosity during this 24-hour giving challenge,” said Julie Smith, Annual Giving Officer at UW-Superior. “During our Day of Giving, 167 donors joined together to benefit student scholarships, academic programs, and so much more.”
Promoted largely through social media and e-mail communications, this fundraising drive is an opportunity for alumni, parents, community partners, businesses, faculty, staff and students to join together online to support the important work being done at UW-Superior through the Superior Fund.
Although the special donation period has ended, the UW-Superior Foundation continues to see its impact.
“We are thrilled at the contributions still coming in to support the Yellowjacket tradition,” said Smith. “Our Superior Fund supports the ongoing work of the Foundation throughout the whole year, and even if community members missed Superior Day of Giving, their contribution can still make an impact on our students.”
Donations can be made online at uwsuper.edu/donate, by calling (715) 394-8452, or in person at Old Main 237.
