The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host the fourth annual Cultures Around the World event on Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Jim Dan Hill Library on the UW-Superior campus.
Geared toward children from age four to eight, the free Cultures Around the World event provides an opportunity to learn about the value of different cultures in a playful and entertaining way. The diversity-focused event offers family friendly educational activities such as diverse cultural games, photo booths, costume dress-up, and more.
“It’s a fun-filled, cultural education opportunity for families to come learn about different cultures through games, crafts, and activities,” said Monte Stewart, coordinator of the Veteran and Non-Traditional Student Center at UW-Superior.
The event is a collaborative effort of the Veterans and Non-Traditional Student Center, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Office of International Programs, World Student Association, First Nations Center, Alliance, Black Student Union, Hispanic Organization Latino Americana, Native Nations Student Organization and Gender Equity Resource Center.
The Jim Dan Hill Library is located at 907 N. 19th Street in Superior. For questions or additional information, contact the Veterans and Non-Traditional Student Center at (715) 394-8406 or email vnsc@uwsuper.edu.
