UW-Superior to host Northshore Philharmonic Orchestra for free performance
The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host the Northshore Philharmonic Orchestra, Sunday, August 5, at 3 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium. This concert is part of UW-Superior’s 125th anniversary celebration.
This performance of American-inspired music will include Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man,” selections from Elmer Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” and Antonin Dvorak’s “Symphony No. 9 New World”. This concert will feature regional soloists Sarah Weisbrod, flute, and Alexander Sandor, piano.
This event is free and open to the public. Free-will donations will be gratefully accepted. The Thorpe Langley Auditorium is located in Old Main at 1710 Weeks Ave. in Superior.
