WITC-Superior Celebrates Commencement Friday, May 17, 2019
Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC)-Superior will hold its 2019 commencement ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17 at the Superior Middle School. The 107-year-old college is proud to confer the Class of 2019 with degrees and diplomas from the Allied Health, Nursing, Business, Public Safety, Family and Consumer Services, as well as Trade and Technical divisions.
This year, student congratulatory remarks will be from Ashley Rauwolf, WITC-Superior’s Student Senate President who is just starting her 2nd year in WITC’s Nursing - Associate Degree program. WITC-Superior’s Distinguished Alumni award recipient, Amber Popplewell will be giving our commencement address.
WITC-Superior Campus will have 160 students take part in commencement Friday. Several students will also receive their GED/HSED and program certificates during commencement. Pending final grades, official graduation numbers will be available in June.
For the first time, WITC-Superior will testing a live stream of the commencement via the WITC-Superior Facebook page for those who are not able to attend.
WITC’s last Graduate Follow-Up Survey showed that 94%of 2018 graduates, who responded to the survey, were hired within just six months of graduating, earning an average starting salary of $40,668. Seventy-six percent of graduates stay and contribute to Wisconsin’s economic development and 64% of graduates work in WITC’s 11-county district.
