Your Ticket to Saving Lives
July 18, 2017 (Duluth, MN) – Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) is currently facing an urgent need for blood – particularly types O negative (O-), B negative (B-), and A negative (A-). Volunteer donors are needed to step up and give blood during the summer months when blood donations are often low.
During the month of August, all presenting blood donors at donor centers and blood drives will be entered in weekly drawings to win tickets to one of three great events:
- Minnesota Vikings game
- Minnesota State Fair
- Minnesota Renaissance Festival
With summer underway, MBC is in urgent need of blood donations. Though the demand for blood is constant, the supply is not – and summer is a difficult time to collect enough blood to support the needs of area hospitals.
To register for a blood drive, visit us online at MBC.ORG, or contact the sponsoring organization directly. While walk-in donors are always welcome, we encourage appointments to be made in advance. It’s also important for donors to keep their blood donation appointments, as these appointments help MBC plan a stable supply of blood for local hospitals.
